I have deleted everything inappropriate on the group, but things need to be considered in order to prevent this from ever happening again.

OK, just a second ago, a person by the steam name of "aggressive female" (steam id page listed at the end of the thread) spammed on the group inappropriate announcements stating sex, porn, and other inappropriate subjects. I, deleted all the inappropriate announcements and got an idea.

To try to keep this from happening again, make the group semi-private. meaning, that you have to be approved in site and teamspeak access on the forums, to be part of the steam group gank squad xtreme. Take this into consideration and maybe it won't happen again.

a lot of people have messaged me about it. Maybe they are offended maybe not, but with many of us having children on our servers, maybe something like Czar's suggestion is a good idea

Step 1: Kick out the bot.

Step 2: Make group private.

Step 3: Make someone else an admin of the group as well.

Yeah, I just checked. It's full-public. That's asking to be hacked. To tell you guys the truth. And on top of that, the chick who did it is still in the group. Not really covering anything if the person who did it is still chilling in the group.

Make it private invite only.

Make a sticky on the forums saying that if you want in on the Steam group just toss your name down and Someone invites them when the group admin gets a chance.

Win.

Hmmm I like the idea of making the group private and making it invite only so this obviously wouldn't happen again because the admins would be judging who gets in and who does not but thats just me and yeah none of its good considering half the GsX members have kids and I am sure they would not want there kids seeing anything like this but thats just me.

ok, what i did was set it private, i removed anyone i didnt know, i promoted all gsx members to offier of the group so they can add people and act as group admins, if you was removed make a post requesting an invite and someone will send you one right away. i am going to bed or i would me a special thread for requesting an invite

I'd like to say HOLD THE PHONE for a second here...

I have always failed to understand why none of us were Admins on the group and why the hell non-members are in the group. I don't know half the people on it last time I looked. Then there's the ones i kinda recall that are long gone.

My point is not against anyone in particular, but my opinion is that we lock it to members only. If anyone else wants to see if I'm online, or interact with me, they will need to ask my permission. If we let anyone in the Steam group, it opens it up so people I don't even know see me, even if some of you others do know them.

I would like to see this debated in Officers quarters and yall think on it a minute. I've said my peace and can live with the results, but we need to chat on it and possibly lock it down as yet another tool we need to take more control over.
